Employee engagement and participation is a key element for any business to be successful. It’s important to ensure that your employees feel accommodated and have everything they need in order to do their part.
Its reported that only 4% of employees stay with a business for company perks and benefits, but if that’s the case how can we get employees to stay longer?
The answer appears to be that employees are looking for a defined purpose for themselves within the business. Employees want to see their efforts having real world results and see the changes they are making. It doesn’t just stop there, trust from their employers is also important. What does this mean? This means employees are looking to have their skills put to work in a corporate culture that appreciates them and have faith in the work they accomplish for the company.
The implementation of applicant tracking systems and other recruiting softwares into businesses has changed human resources departments significantly. Although, BambooHR reported that only 12% of HR organizations currently use predictive analytics for talent decision making and 49% of organizations plan to do so in the near future.
These numbers are very low and with only 4% of HR leaders that feel that they are effective at accurately assessing employee performance. It’s important that human resources departments not only acquire recruiting software, but familiarize themselves with it to effectively seek talent.
There is tremendous room for improvement and most businesses don’t understand the thousands of dollars per employee they could be saving. The cost of a bad hire can be way more detrimental for a business than the implementation of recruiting software.
